Raj Chinai is the Co-Founder & Co-Chair of Harvard Alumni Angels India, a global alumni network that launched its India operations in 2011. Raj has spent the past 15 years working with high-growth tech companies in the US and India. He began his career in Silicon Valley, where he led business development deals at Scient and Yahoo. In 2007, Raj relocated to Bangalore to join India’s venture capital industry, where he was initially at SVB India Capital Partners ($54M fund) and most recently at IndoUS Venture Partners ($190M fund). Between both firms, he has been involved with over twenty early-stage investments across the Internet, mobile, healthcare and retail sectors. 

Raj is a Lead Mentor at Microsoft Ventures, Advisor at Orios Venture Partners, President of the Kellogg Alumni Club of India, Advisory Board Member at Synergia Foundation and India Lead at the 2011 and 2013 HBS New Venture Competition. He is also a Venture Advisor to several high potential start-ups, where he works with entrepreneurs on the intersection of corporate strategy, operations and business development. Raj completed his MBA and MPA at Harvard and Kellogg, and BA at University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors.
