Currently spearheading the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative at the US$ 4 Bn Murugappa Group, Arun Venkatachalam is a 5th Generation member of Murugappa Family. A former Investment Banking Analyst beginning his career at Axis Capital (ECM) where he was part of of two IPO's and Proposed PSU Disinvestments, he subsequently joined M&A Adivsory at Lazard where he focussed on Industrials, Agro,Technology & Healthcare.

Arun is an Active Angel Investor in South Asia based Start-Up's, he currently has 3 Investments, with a focus on SaaS, Agro & Mobile Technologies.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Studies from the Lancaster University Management School, UK
